Eastern Standard Downtime
Update by John
So, DHC had recently become host to a trojan, and to protect visitors to the site, the site was voluntarily taken offline late yesterday. With the malicious code deleted, the site is safe once again, and all features have been restored. In the future, should DHC go down again, I advise visiting my developer blog for updates as they come along, and news as to when the site should come back online. We apologize for any inconveniences the trojan may have caused.

In other news, a short cartoon was released before the downtime, but was left unmentioned on the frontpage. You might find it worth a laugh, at the very least, especially if you are a fan of my forum trolling antics posted on the DHC forum.

Lies Lies Lies
Update by Ben
Although there is no real immediately new content, there are a number of minor, insignificant updates that have happened over the past month or two that I'm going to compress into one update to make it look like we're being productive.

Starting with the most recent, there's a new movie review up on that page over there for the biggest superhero movie this summer...Hancock! What? That's what you were expecting, right? Actually, I should get around to writing a review of The Dark Knight seeing as I saw it twice and it seems to be the thing on everyone's mind. So, maybe I will. Maybe I won't. You'll just have to keep checking the homepage fervently for updates. Or maybe you won't.

In other news, Epitaph is still goin' strong, so tell all your friends! If there's anything seriously worthwhile that we have to offer at this time, Epitaph is it.

Lastly we have this cool little site search page down in the footer. Although it's been up for a while I can imagine many people didn't notice it because honestly, what reason do you have to scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page? I'll tell you what reason: site search. Damn straight.

Important Note: There have been a few reports of a possible trojan being downloaded via Doghouse Comics. Although we are currently looking into the problem, we suggest anyone who does not have any antivirus software to download Avast! Antivirus or a similar available program and to run a system scan. Thanks for bearing with us.

Keep 'Em Comin
Update by Ben
With school winding down, things seem to be picking up here at DHC. Last night we released the 3rd DHC podcast which happens to be quite a bit longer than out last two. Whether that makes it better or worse is still to be determined.

Our brand new comic, Epitaph continues to update according to schedule, so be sure to check that out. There are also a couple of reviews by John that we haven't ever officially announced so go check them out. Lastly, I just wanted to point out a few minor site layout changes, specifically the new hover images on the menu, and some reorganizing with pages now in the footer. That's it for now, stay on the lookout for Port Mayhem: Episode 3 from John.

Brand New Comic Series!
Update by Kris

Epitaph, a brand new comic series written by myself and drawn by the very talented Roberto Leutwiler is finally here! Unlike our other Doghouse Comics, this one is darker and serious in tone; not as much as The Sprite is Right, but pretty damn heavy, doc.

You can check it out here. Updates are most likely gonna be Monday/Wednesday/Friday. We've got a comic buffer of about 10 pages, so don't expect much laziness. We're pretty excited to be bringing this to you, so we're gonna try our best.

Catch you cool cats on the flipside.

Port Mayhem: Episode Two
Update by John

Port Mayhem: Episode 2 is finally out, after nearly two weeks. I guess that makes it a bi-weekly series, then. Let's see how long that lasts, eh? So, this week, I cover the arcade classic Mortal Kombat, and it's respective ports for the Sega Genesis, Super Nintendo Entertainment System, and Nintendo Gameboy. Bear in mind, I'm still smoothing out the rough edges with this series, so bear with me until I come up with a consistent formula.

More updates coming soon, as always.
